Completion date: January 26, 2026

Location: Greensboro, NC

Why did the customer contact us?

A significant water loss occurred from a burst pipe, impacting the entire first floor of both Unit A and Unit B. In Unit A, the living room, kitchen, bathroom, utility room, and closet experienced extensive water damage, including wet LVP flooring on a slab, saturated drywall and baseboards (still pushing out water in the living room), swollen lower kitchen cabinets (with the source located below the sink), and a swollen bathroom vanity. In Unit B, similar widespread damage was noted across the living room, kitchen, bathroom, utility room, and closet, with wet LVP flooring, saturated drywall and baseboards (still pushing out water in the living room), swollen lower kitchen cabinets (source also below the sink), a swollen bathroom vanity, and a closet packed with contents showing wet readings. There were existing old water stains that were not part of this specific loss.

Solutions provided:

Following the water loss from the burst pipe, comprehensive moisture mapping was conducted across all affected areas in both Unit A and Unit B. Emergency water extraction was performed to remove standing water. Targeted demolition was carried out to remove severely damaged materials, including swollen lower kitchen cabinets, vanities, saturated drywall, and baseboards in the kitchens, bathrooms, and living rooms of both units, especially around the pipe burst source. Advanced drying equipment, including commercial air movers and industrial dehumidifiers, was strategically deployed to thoroughly dry all LVP flooring, underlying slabs, and structural components. Contents within the packed closet in Unit B were carefully manipulated and dried. Continuous monitoring of moisture levels was maintained to ensure complete drying and mitigate the risk of mold growth and further structural damage.
